The word this week is blueberries
The word this week is blueberries. I’ve been enjoying a generous helping of Serres Ranch Blueberries from Sonoma/Glen Ellen Markets this week mixed in with plain greek yogurt as an afternoon snack. It’s light, refreshing and delicious. Give it a try.
We are so blessed with fresh fruits in this area, and summer is peak season for our indoor/outdoor living.
I attended the Transcendence Theatre Broadway Under the Stars at the Jack London Historic State Park this last week. What a treat! We had a picnic under the oaks before the show and were entertained by an excellent ensemble cast as sunset became starry night among the winery ruins and vineyards. One of my favorites was the surprise rendition of Horse Right Here from Guys and Dolls, sung on live horses. Another stand out (among many) was The Girl in 14G from Thoroughly Modern Millie by our local girl Lexy Fridell. Oh! and Eric Jackson in Bye, Bye Blackbird put a large smile on everyone’s lips.
These productions are yet another reason to get out of the house and take advantage of the lively arts in our area.
This year’s 4th of July parade did not disappoint. All the usual fire engines, Miss Sonoma County, and marching bands were there. Again the horsemen with lasso’s standing on their saddles were crowd favorites (see photo below).
Warm regards and Happy 4th!

This guy actually jumped through the loop as it passed over him.
